This wick lamp, also called a Driver's lamp, was designed to hang on the harness of a mule or on the frame of an ore or coal car to provide light inside the mine
Lamp has a fuse lined spout and it has no fuel residue inside
Fuse still inside base
The nose is about 3" long and 3 1/2" wide from nose to the hanging end
The lamp body stands 2 1/2" to the lid.
No maker's mark
Lamp dates from over 100 years ago, before carbide or battery lighting was available
No other issues noted
