  • Solid-brass, soldered joints.

A manual operated horn to signal from ship to ship.

Attributed to a Capt. Charles S. Sisson of Mystic River, Conn.

It could also have been a fog horn to blow when a compressed air system fails.

This antique brass piece is a good looking marine safety system as well as exuding a classic look.

It stands approximately 24" tall and 4 1/2" at its horn and weighs less than 1 pound.

    “PATENTED” is stamped on reed.

    CONDITION

    Good to very good

    Clean

     No marked or damages noted

I could not get the horn to give a sound, so not sure if its me or the horn
