Vintage 1912 Iron Hardware Age Magazine With Lots of Tool Ads
A nice piece of vanishing history in this Magazine – July 11, 1912
107 pages
This is a vintage magazine/catalog entitled "Iron Age Hardware, The Retailers' National Weekly"
The magazine was a trade magazine for hardware store owners
The magazine has a lot of tool ads along with other items you would find in a hardware store
It measures 8 and 1/4 inches by 12 inches
The great thing about this vintage magazine is the large number and variety advertisements. I scanned a few representative ads, but t are literally hundreds of companies advertising in this magazine
Some are full-page ads, while t are quite a few pages with any from 5 to 9 different advertisements per page
The middle portion of the magazine contains articles about retail companies, conventions, and other news for the hardware trade
There are ads for such companies as gunmakers, glassware, automobile companies, makers of all varieties of saws, tools and implements, leatherworkers, whipmakers, clock makers, household implements, long and landscaping tools and vehicles, kitchen implements and utensils, and many other countries.
Thaer are advertisements for some famous companies such as Remington shotgun shells, Maytag Company, National Cutlery Company, United States Cartridge Company, General Electric Company, Portland Manufacturing Co. of Maine
This is a great vintage hardware magazine
Thera are advertisements from companies from a wide variety of states, backgrounds, and products
This magazine was meant to circulate to the retail merchant trade, so was a combination information publication and advertising venue for companies trying to sell wholesale to merchants nationwide
