VINTAGE BROWN’S TOBOGGAN PLANE
Brown Quality Machine Co. though unmarked these are quite distinctive
They seem to have only been marked with a paper label which rarely survived
On the few paper labels that are known to exist they are marked "PAYSON'S TOBOGGAN PLANE -- BROWN SPECIALTY MACHINE CO -- CHICAGO, ILL -- PAT APPLIED FOR -- No 001" with a circular border
Probable 1904
Measures about 7” long by 2 1/2” wide
The iron is about 2" in width
Clean & Complete and Nicely Rejapanned
No rust or pitting
