Vintage Stanley #66 Hand Beader With 6 Cutters & 2 Fences In Box
There are 6 cutters and 2 fences that come with this beader
The original set would have had 8 cutters
The wood case may not be original, but I think it is, as it has a pasted label
There is a small hole in one side which may have been added, I suspect
This beader is clean are the fences
The cutters are sharp but should be cleaned
Date of PAT. FEB 9, 86 on right handle
Stanley cataloged the No. 66 "Universal Beader" as being "For beading, reeding or fluting straight or irregular surfaces - also adapted for light routing."
Noting that there are two fences - "one for straight and the other for curved work," John Walter, in his Stanley Tools Guide, calls the No. 66 "A fantastic tool to do scratch bead and reed decorations on straight and curved forms
The real advantage of this tool is that you can cut up old band or hack saw blades and make any shape cutter you desire and get great results."
