Vintage STANLEY NO. 750 5/8” BEVELED EDGE SOCKET CHISEL With Leather Capped Handle
This vintage Stanley socket chisel is a rare find for woodworking enthusiasts
Stamped “Stanley Made in USA” on blade
“750”is not stamped, but this is clearly a 750
Yes, it is possible to find Stanley No. 750 chisels that are not stamped with the number "750." Stanley produced a wide range of woodworking tools over the years, including chisels, and the markings on their tools can vary depending on the specific production run and era.
The Stanley No. 750 chisels are well-known and have been manufactured for many years, with variations in markings and designs. Some older or transitional models may not have the "750" stamped on them, while others do. The absence of the "750" stamp doesn't necessarily mean the chisel is not authentic; it could be a result of variations in manufacturing and marking practices.
It measures 8 1/2" long with the handle and 5 1/4" from the edge to the top of the socket
Not as rare as the 7/8”, 1/8” or the Elusive 1.75”, but roughly as rare as the 3/8” and rarer than every other size the 750 chisels came in
