Keuffel & Esser 4100 slide rule, made circa late-1930's. For use in surveying for the civil engineer.
Keuffel & Esser (K&E) slide rules are used in topographical surveying to determine the elevation and location of objects and points.
The slide rule is made of mahogany with celluloid plastic surface and measures approximately 10 5/8 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide (front face) by 1 5/16 inches wide (bottom face). The slide rule is in good to very good condition, showing normal signs of age
