Our Tool Grading Factors
This tool is as it was the day it was originally sold, and as packaged. 
Shows signs of moderate use, but absolutely no signs of abuse. Will have a pleasing patina. Most of original finish should remain. No unsightly marks of any kind.
Showing signs of very light use, and no abuse. 
Showing signs of considerable use, and some neglect, including from less than optimal storage. Any signs of abuse should be very minimal. Should still have plenty of collector's appeal, with nice patina and an pleasing appearance.
Well worn and may have some problems related to neglect and abuse. 
 In many cases these are tools that have been overcleaned or banged up.  Unless it is extremely rare, is only valuable as a usable tool.  But it still can have value to a collector.
