Antique Double Door Molding Plane, Woodworking Tool

A “double door” molding plane typically refers to:

·        A wide-bodied wooden plane

·        Designed for door panels or architectural trim

·        Often cuts a larger or more complex profile

·        May have a double profile or be used on wider stock (like door rails/stiles)

These were heavily used in the 1800s–early 1900s before power tools took over.
