Classic Early Sheffield I. & H. Sorby Cast Steel Firmer Chisel

16 1/2 " length, 1 1/2" blade width, stamp shows I & H SORBY CAST STEEL in two lines with “Golden Fleece” trademark

Tools this long were often used by joiners or timber framers

The two-line stamp with CAST STEEL and the sheep (Golden Fleece) mark usually dates tools to roughly 1820–1860

Looks like original wood handle
