A very scarce Phelps Mfg.Co. aluminum marking gauge with a steel shaft. Cutter on end still present. Nice bold logo marking cast into the gauge. All pieces present and original. This old gauge from the 30' or 40's has been used but well taken care of. The hexagon shaped steel rod is clean with no rust or pitting. Would be a great addition to any Phelps tool collection with no apologies. These old Phelps gauges do not show up very often so . Measures approx. 16
