S.Dalpe Roxton Pond, P.O. Wood Plane

Dalpé is recognized as one of the important Canadian plane makers, and his planes are actively collected.

Dalpé planes are documented by the Canadian Ingenium collection as dating roughly 1860–1895, so the maker mark adds legitimate collector interest.

This is a large rabbet/rebate plane with an adjustable fence. The broad wooden fence/sole assembly and the metal fittings at the front are characteristic of this type. Ingenium has a documented S. Dalpé rabbet plane from approximately 1865–1895, confirming that Dalpé made this type.
