 The Proof scale measures alcohol content in U.S. proof degrees, where 1 proof = 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV), and the Tralle scale measures alcohol content in percentage ABV. Record the reading: Take note of the point where the liquid level intersects with the scale on the hydrometer.
