Vintage Stanley No. 32 FOLDING 12" BOXWOOD BRASS RULER With EXTENDABLE CALIPER
# 32 Stanley Warranted Boxwood 12", four jointed folding ruler with a further 2" extension
So significant that one is featured in the Smithsonian National Museum of American Art
It has a brass arch joint with two brass hinges to allow it to fold
The two-inch brass caliper extends on the right side
These were made by Stanley between 1855 and 1941
Hinges are tight
Has all 3 alignment pins
Caliper and slot numbers match, and the caliper slides in and out smoothly
Folds flat, no bowing.
