West Marine offers parallel rules primarily through the premier navigation brand Weems & Plath. These high-quality chart plotting tools, which feature durable clear acrylic construction and either brushed aluminum or traditional brass arms, are available in sizes ranging from 12" to 24".

An essential item in any proper navigation kit, the Parallel Ruler is used to plot direction on your nautical chart. The parallel ruler has two hinged parallel edges that maintain the same angle. By alternating the moving edge and securely holding down the non-moving edge, you can move the parallel ruler about the chart while still maintaining the same angle.
